Today an announcement came out of Pennsylvania that a commission has been put together by the Senate Legislative Budget and Finance Committee. This commission will be used to study the potential for legalized and regulated online gambling in the state. Crown Resorts, the Australian based casino firm announced that they are interested in taking over Betfairs Australian gambling operations. The reason for this is because Betfair expressed the disappointment they felt in the performance on their Australian operations. As of right now Betfair and Crown Resorts are in a 50/50 partnership. These two operators already work with one another to run the sportsbetting business that Betfair offers in Australia.
