Online players located in Macau, the largest Chinese gambling capital in the continent. The Judiciary Police of Macau was the organization that reported on the potential poker scam that is effecting certain illegal gambling websites.
The Judiciary Police of Macau are famous for being harsh upon illegal gambling rings and gambling websites. This is due to citizens losing more than they can afford to. The scam is actually a scammer who logs into online poker sites, he’ll then socialize with forum member and players to sell his poker chips. The price of the deal is too good to pass up but once the player becomes hooked the price will increase greatly.
The price increases due to the twenty one year old scammer offering an incredible deal that players can’t give up. The scammer was offering players and forum members 10,000 poker chips for 600 pataca. In order to receive the chips players would first have to deposit the 600 into one of his online bank accounts. The punter would then tell these players that in order to receive the chips they’d have to pay another 1,8000 pataca. Thus allowing for the scammer to make money either way, regardless of what the online punter choose to do.
One player agreed to pay the extra 1,800 pataca but then became suspicious of the scammers behaviour. When he questioned the scammer he disappeared with the money that this player gave to him. Macau Police are on the lookout for the scammer, knowing that he is 21 years of age and also his description.
